Jimmy Eat World the “Must See Act” of the 2011 Edge Festival

Edinburgh Festivals has named Jimmy Eat World the must see act of the 2011 Edge Festival (the music branch of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe). The Edge Festival takes place on August 25, 2011. You can get tickets for it over on the Edinburgh Festivals website.

The Edge Festival will feature over 40 different bands, including Jimmy Eat World, Panic! At The Disco and Newton Faulkner. Here’s what they had to say about Jimmy Eat World:

American indie rockers Jimmy Eat World are one of this year’s Edge Festival headliners. Credited with pioneering Emo music, JEW have earned a reputation for writing music which takes their listeners on an emotional rollercoaster, from air-punching mosh tracks to melodic, weepy numbers guaranteed to ruin all that rigorously applied eye-liner.
